Flow Control Mechanism of Blade Tip Bionic Grooves and Their Influence on Aerodynamic Performance and Noise of Multi-Blade Centrifugal Fan

To improve the aerodynamic performance and reduce noise of multi-blade centrifugal fans used in air conditioners, a bionic groove structure was introduced into blade tip design, inspired by drag reduction characteristics mantis shrimp. In this paper, numerical method to investigate effects on fan. Firstly, basic design parameters, such as width, depth, center distance, number, were selected define shape groove. Then, effect parameters fan studied. Finally, models with different shapes, rectangular grooves, circular triangular established compare influence structures Through analysis flow fields impeller, control mechanism revealed.
